A public Lecture under the organization of department of Buddhist culture, on “How to be a successful leader?” was delivered

by the Prof H.H.D.N.P Opatha on 8^th June 2016, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in Library auditorium in Buddhist and Pali university of Sri Lanka.

A public Lecture under the organization of department of Buddhist culture, on “Buddhism and productivity” was delivered by Mr. Lal Fonseka,

the Eminent Specialist on Productivity on 24^th August 2016, from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in main Auditorium in Buddhist and Pali university of Sri Lanka.

A public Lecture under the organization of department of Buddhist culture, on “Sarcasm derived from Jātaka Literature” was delivered by

Prof. Ven Devalegama Medhananda Thero on 12^th October 2016, from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in Library Auditorium in Buddhist and Pali university of Sri Lanka.

 Cultural show

1.  A cultural show “Debas Kathana Mudra Nataka” organized by the student association of Buddhist culture was staged on 12^th May 2016, from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. in the main auditorium in Buddhist and Pali university of Sri Lanka.

Field trips

A field trip arranged for the students of BUCU 42724 - Buddhist art II (Special), BUCU 32113 - Buddhist Art and Architecture (General) papers was traveledto

Mulkirigala, Kasagala, Karambagala, Naigala and Ramba Viharaya on 28^th September 2016 as a one day tour.

A field trip arranged for the students of BUCU 31624 Buddhist art I (special) paper, expecting to behold the modern paintings was toured to Gotami Viharaya, Kelaniya and Varana Rajamaha Viharaya on 25^th October 2016.

Publications

Part I in volume I of The Journal of Buddhist Culture and volume I of the journal of Vibudha Lekhā were published by the department of Buddhist Culture in August of 2016.
