Main duties of the finance Branch are as follows.

Overall finance Planning, Controlling, monitoring and in the University.

Budgeting, Estimating, doing the payments, forecasting, Preparing Salary and Payments.

The Finance Committee & the Minor Tender Board. is Co-ordinated by the Finance Branch.

Preparing final Accounts and submitting for the approval by the Parliament, Preparing Quarterly Progress Reports, Submitting Monthly Expenditure Summary to the Ministry and the Treasury, Getting Monthly Capital and Recurrent Financial Allocation from the Treasury.

The Supply Division is also under the Finance Branch. (The Treasury and the Higher Education Ministry are Co-ordinating to finance matters in the University.)

The Bursar and the Assistant Bursar of the University appointed by the council of the University. They are responsible for the financial and Budgeting matters at the University and the maintenance of relevant records.
